Before founding Liverpool in 2012, Jill had already made her mark as the former CEO of Denimhead, a subscription denim service known for setting trends in the fashion industry. Inspired by a vision to create jeans that fit every "body," Jill partnered with her husband Ron, who already owned and operated successful apparel brands such as City Girl and NYDJ. Today, their company has evolved to become a lifestyle brand for both women and men, which extends from the denim line to Liverpool ponte pants, trousers, leggings, tops and blazers, with a focus on new fashion innovations and trends for a variety of ages and sizes.
Drawing on her more than 30 years of fashion design experience, Jill is now focused on creating timeless, sophisticated, and yet affordable clothing that incorporates the latest technology. Liverpool's Dual FX T-400 fabric, for example, provides a four-way compression/stretch denim that is silky-soft while still providing movement and fabric recovery to ensure the jeans look great and fit throughout the entire day.
Liverpool's latest advancement is 5.0 Sustainable Denim, which is made not only from organic cotton and indigo dye, but eliminates the need for toxic chemicals and requires only one cup of water to make each pair of jeans. Liverpool is adding a barcode to the hangtag of each pair of jeans that allows customers to scan, which will take them to a webpage that outlines the specific environmental impact rating (EIM) score of each pair of jeans.
