Sue Kantor of Sophisticated Styling was the speaker at “Dress for Impact,” a workshop held March 2, was organized by SCORE, in conjunction with the SBA, Women’s Business Center and the Women’s Small Business Accelerator. It was the first of four workshops under the name of “Connections, Communication & Confidence,” primarily targeted to women entrepreneurs.
As a personal wardrobe stylist Sue focuses on helping women build their confidence by creating an appearance which communicates who they are and what is appropriate for their careers. As a business owner or professional it’s very important to dress in order the make the best first impression. Sue used PowerPoint slides, but more importantly, she used apparel and accessories from Fabtique to show examples of how to choose flattering clothing and dress it up with colors and jewelry.
We were happy to lend out some of our selection to help women business owners!
Sue and the Fabtique team share the same philosophy … it’s critical to understand how certain styles, cuts, fabrics and colors make you look. We pride ourselves on taking the time to understand your body, size and personal style. Once you find a store where the staff understand what looks good on you, and they have a selection of items that are flattering, you can avoid the frustration of shopping all over town, and visit your favorite store regularly. We hope to be that store for successful female entrepreneurs in Columbus!
